Robertai, jei gerai suprantu, pradėjai investuoti prieš 6 mėnesius

Sveiki, noriu pasitarti, gabūt galėtumėte padėti.
Prieš savaitę su kažkiek atsidariau account Internaxx banke ir norėjau pirkti Vanguard S&P500 index fondą.
Šiandien jau kalbi apie evidence based investing, regresines analizes, French Famma three factors model, smart beta, alfa, CAPE ratio, nuolatinį faktorių outperforminimą prieš rinką visada ir pan. Kaip ir gydytojas, kuriuo esi tu, per atstumą nenustato diagnozės, taip ir man to nederėtų daryti, bet iš šono atrodo, kad
Dunning–Kruger efektas kažkuria apimtimi palietė ir tave ir tu šiuo metu esi I can be the next Warren Buffet stadijoje.

rašė:A tilted portfolio can underperform for many years . A prolonged underperformance period makes tilting risky from a behavioral perspective. Some people are impatient and will jump out of a strategy after a few bad years. This is exactly what investors should not do because it locks in a lower long-term return. The strategy has to be diligently maintained in order for it to be successful. Tilting is a life-long investment ideal
rašė:I’m not for the smart-beta hype because it leads to short-sighted investment decisions. This is a complex strategy that needs contemplation and consideration. I don’t recommend it for people who don’t fully understand that potential higher returns cannot be achieved without taking higher risk. Tilting is for investors who are knowledgeable, understanding, willing to accept higher risk and pay higher fees, and most important, are extremely disciplined in implementation and maintenance. If this is you, choose your funds wisely and keep your costs as low as you can. This will give you the highest probability for long-term success.

Given this, investors frequently are advised to combine these into multi-factor portfolios to increase the consistency of returns by harvesting diversification benefits. Unfortunately, even cutting-edge, diversified long-short multi-factor portfolios can have significant drawdowns over time
rašė:Investing in long-short multi-factor portfolios is theoretically the optimal way to pursue factor investing as long and short positions can contribute returns. Furthermore, these provide attractive diversification benefits for traditional equity-bond portfolios. However, given market neutrality, such portfolios will always behave differently than most other assets in investment portfolios, which requires frequent justification for such an allocation.
rašė:The case against factor investing is equally simple: nothing in investing is truly free. Knowing how the beat the market is quite different to actually doing it. For instance, many have studied the investment style of a well-known investor based in Omaha, Nebraska, yet few, if any, have succeeded at replicating his success.

Believing is a big part of it. It will take a real commitment to these factors to stick with them when they’re not paying off year after year after year. Given that the dataset on which they are based is almost entirely retrospective and limited to just 3 or 4 independent 30 year periods, it’s hard to develop the kind of faith required to stay the course for long. Don’t tilt more than your faith will support. It might be evidence-based investing, but the evidence is a far cry from a 5,000 participant randomized, placebo-controlled trial.

Man asmeniškai visa tai primena važiavimą automobiliu žiūrint į galinio vaizdo veidrodėlį. Jei kelias autostrada, be staigių posūkių, tai tikėtina nuvažiuosi kur reikia be didesnių avarijų, bet jei staigesnis posūkis ar duobė, lauk nelaimės. KEEP IT SIMPLE, nėra investavime jokių sidabrinių kulkų. Daug svarbiau daugiau taupyti, nei vaikytis faktorių, sektorių, smart beta ir pan.
